I am proud of my origin and so passionate with Thai traditional handcrafts.
I am an ordinary Thai girl who was born in small town in southern and grown up in small town in northeastern part of Thailand. There are many regions in Thailand where separate by geography, weather, tradition, and culture. To live in 2 hometowns made me impress how people live within the same country but there are some different life styles, tradition and culture and even difference local languages. These makes Thailand so attractive, fascinating and admire me a lot.
Thai traditional handcraft has evolved over a long time. It is an art that reflects the way of life of the family and society in each region including the relationship between traditions and various ceremonies which is linked by the fibers of local woven. Weaving in each region has its own characteristics in the weaving technique, materials used, colors, patterns with delicacy, craftmanship and folk wisdom.
To live with the life style with such a great surrounding for all my life, I am even more so passionate for local Thai handcrafts from the local people in a small village and made by hand and by heart from natural local area. y.
The local handcrafts are not only for useful for daily life as for last 100 years anymore. They are now able to apparel in Thai and modern and western styles for daily use for sharing to the world.
Community
To feel being a part of community is such a great feeling. To connect to each other closer to share ideas and work on together. More than handcraft products are relationship and unity among each other to support each other.
